Vega Water commenced operations in 1989, initially providing water treatment services and chemicals to cooling towers and boilers across Victoria. Drawing on the wealth of over two decades of practical experience, Vega Water now delivers specialist water treatment management and consulting services across all facets of water treatment.
Our core business centres on the production of Risk Management Plans and also “Continuous Risk Management” for cooling tower systems, utilising TOMAS, the much-loved web-based “Cooling Tower Management System” to provide support to large national & multi-site clients as well as smaller sites with one or more systems. TOMAS provides the mechanics and automation which allow Vega Water’s administration and consulting staff to provide our unique package of cooling tower risk management services.

Office ManagerCarol is the second generation of her family to work in the water treatment industry, and she has spent well over a decade managing the administration and compliance aspects of cooling towers through her former role as Office Manager for Integra Water Treatment Solutions (VIC). Carol manages the compilation of our technical documentation as well as general accounts. In addition, Carol manages our team of four admin staff who provide the technical data entry & accounts functions of Vega Water.

Senior ConsultantMaria BSc (Chemistry, Biochemistry) brings 28 years of hands on experience as an industrial chemist including general management & consulting on building water systems as well as microbial & corrosion control for cooling towers. Maria’s focus within Vega Water is providing day-to-day technical support to our clients, helping FMs understand & manage any cooling tower faults, concerning chemical, microbial & corrosion trends as well as ensuring all cooling tower testing & maintenance documentation is complete and up to date.

Does TOMAS store the original service, cleaning,
micro and corrosion testing records supplied by the water treatment
company and labs?
YES – it doesn’t matter which water treatment company or lab you use, or even whether this changes over time – all records no matter where they’re from can be logged, stored and are easily accessible on TOMAS.

Can TOMAS provide all records for 5 years within 4 hours if
requested by the authorities?
YES – as long as the records have been uploaded to TOMAS, all records can be provided instantaneously via a shareable downloadable link. We have actually found that inspectors love it when they find out TOMAS is in use on a site as it makes their life much easier!

Can you backload my records on TOMAS?
YES – we are able to arrange the backloading of historical records on TOMAS so that they’re all organised and available to anyone who needs to seem them.

What types of reporting can TOMAS provide me?
Whilst TOMAS provides an amazing records management solution for cooling towers, we also log all the relevant chemical, microbial and fault information from all records received each day. This data allows us to provide a wide range of reports including:
- Graphical trends of chemical, microbial and corrosion data.
- Exception Reports / Concerning Trend Reports
- Fault Reports
- Missing Record Reports

Does TOMAS provide the ability to only show sites
and information relevant to different staff?
YES – each login profile will only show the relevant sites & information for that person - from an FM looking after a single site or a Senior FM with oversight over 10 buildings through to regional, state and national managers with access to all relevant sites under their care.

YES – we are happy to work in with you to provide the best mix of services to complement your risk and compliance management strategies. From standalone audits and risk management plans, adhoc consulting advice, through to comprehensive management solutions where we take responsibility for all risk and compliance elements including paying for registrations, liaising with authorities, organising audits, and managing faults – we can design a risk management package that suits you.

My Water Treatment Service Provider has their own web portal
that provides records and data – why do I need another one?
Whilst some of the larger providers do have their own portals, none of them provide access to ALL record types (including independent microbial reports, corrosion reports, RMPs, audit certificates, rego certificates) and of course they are service provider specific – if you change supplier the portal access is gone. Of course, the TOMAS portal itself is only half of what you get – the other half is our staff, all of whom have extensive water treatment experience who read each one of your reports as they arrive and log all the relevant details into TOMAS. We then use this information to provide independent analytics, technical oversight and exception reporting. We effectively join your team as your “in-house water treatment experts” and provide you independent oversight and technical assistance in managing your cooling towers.
