Vega.Consulting is a division of Vega Water dedicated to providing specialist consulting, services & products in the fields of:
- Corrosion testing, monitoring & management programs
- Ad-hoc & forensic investigation into corrosion issues
- Water quality investigation
- Microbial testing, monitoring & management programs including for cooling towers, health & aged care facilities, public pools & spas
- LRMPs - Legionella risk assessments & management plans for whole buildings (WELL v2 assessments) as well as for warm water systems in high risk facilities
- Routine & ad-hoc air quality testing services

Alan Hall
Senior Consultant
Vega.Consulting is lead by Alan Hall,
Bachelor of Technology (Chemistry),
Associate Diploma Materials Science with the first 22 years of his career focused on corrosion engineering and metallurgy,
including R&D work for BHP and alloy development for Weir Minerals.
Following this, commencing in 2016,
Alan pioneered Allwater Technologies & Environs (a division of IMC) with a focus on providing consulting services for building water systems,
including cooling towers, closed loops, chillers & other HVAC plant as well as overseeing the production of cooling tower Legionella risk management plans.
Alan also has experience in undertaking air quality investigations & delivering tailored air quality testing programs.
Maria Guerrera
Senior Consultant
Maria BSc (Chemistry, Biochemistry) brings 28 years of hands on experience as an industrial chemist including general management &
consulting on building water systems as well as microbial & corrosion control for cooling towers.
Maria has experience as ISO Quality Accreditation manager in the delivery of field service work as well as previously managing various laboratories undertaking analysis of water and soil.
Drikus Du Plooy
Senior Consultant
As the current managing director of Hydrohelix as well as a former technical specialist at Integra,
Drikus B.Sc. (Biotech) Hons has been working at the coal face of commercial & industrial water treatment for over 25 years including hands on experience with cooling towers,
boilers & wastewater treatment systems. As a microbiologist, Drikus has extensive expertise in Legionella control across all water sources.
He has also undertaken R&D and field work in biological &
chemical treatment of waste water, R&D into disinfection & sterilization processes as well having extensive experience in the design of filtration systems.
He is currently a licensed cooling tower auditor in NSW & VIC supporting many hundreds of cooling tower owners & managers across Australia.
Drikus is available to provide on-call support to the vega.consulting team particularly with warm water systems / high risk facilities as well waste water treatment.
